Thursday cont.

So, today was fluidity day. In the classroom this morning we did a few simulations, and went through all the strategies for helping us be fluid at different gaits.

We had a fluidity makeover too, where we had 2 students come in, and had the faculty help them. That was interesting to watch! After that we were pretty much able to just go experiment.

Dusty has an awesome trot and canter!!! He is SO powerful, and was offering extended trot and everything. It was great fun. The canter was very very smooth aswell which was cool. I discovered a few habits which i'm going to try and change over the next few weeks. Warm up strong to ride soft...i only ended up riding for a short time after warming up for around 45 mins or so. I think i rode for 30 mins?

Was a good day. It snowed a bit this morning but the afternoon was pretty nice.

There's a great picture on this weeks enews, of Pat and Casper when they came to visit during the L& HB course.

Lyla's been up, and it only took her 10.5 hrs to drive down again - such a small country, the UK. The drive from Pagosa to Ocala took rather longer, so this must have been a doddle for her.

She's really pleased you've got Dusty, he's such a cool and talented horse and will be able to teach you so much.

The weather forecast for the next few days is pretty good - wall to wall sunshine, and the webcams don't lie either. Take care going from those lovely hot springs into the meltwater............you're very brave.

Whoohoo, hope you found your way down from the cabins this morning, looks like there's thick fog everywhere, or is it cloud?

well, i just looked again, and there's blue skies, and i can even see someone stretched out on a sun lounger at the hot springs, so I guess the forecast was right after all !!Wall to wall sunshine.
Enjoy.

p.s. Avast! are playing their last gig in Dundee tonight, so think of them. Don't be sad though, cos they're re-inventing themselves, so listen up for the new name and style.I hear some other instruments might be involved - I think a sax might be good ( are you listening Nico?)

We're such a lucky bastards, aren't we? Life is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.

Greetings from Oostburg, I was there today, and will be back for the Karen Rolf clinic. Dille almost killed me and ran for her leash straight away, and there are some scottish things hanging on the Wall of Fame. There's been quite a few changes there, but nevertheless everything is pretty much the same.
